Nick Shaylor is a handsome heirloom named after its breeder, Nicholas Shaylor. It was registered in 1931, and has won the American Peony Society’s prestigious Gold Medal Award in 1941 AND AGAIN in 1969! It also won the APS Best In Show in 1969. It is described as the “near perfect peony,” with soft blush pink to ivory toned blooms that flower later in the season. Some of the inner petals may bear magenta marks.
