Golden Frolic is this breathtaking hybrid Itoh peony, introduced in 2003 by R.G. Khlem. It’s hard to find these available for sale, and we are introducing them on our farm. It’s known for its pink ruffled petals with a raspberry ring around the base surrounding a golden stamen center. It reminds us of the most romantic bright sunsets. Its coloring has an antique, old world charm about it that is hard to ignore. This variety is on the shorter side, at about 28 inches and does not require staking.

Planting Requirements: Plant 1-2 inches deep with the roots down and the crown facing the sky. The hole should be large enough to fit the root system and about 5 times the width of the crown. Cover, water, and add a layer of mulch. Plant in the fall/winter.
